Our Story

The idea for Marceda came about in early 2021, while our founder was working with a Maxillofacial Surgeon on a case with his patient. The need arose for development of an accurate 3D model of the patient’s cranium, to be used as a guide for a custom-fit metal implant. The software available on the market, capable of developing these models were almost all prohibitively expensive. Thus, the need arose to develop an application that could do this. 

Cyprian developed a basic DICOM Viewer, that could create a 3D model of the patient’s cranium, and export it for 3D printing. The 3D printed model was used as a guide to develop a custom-fit metal fixture for the patient. Happily, the fixture was successfully implanted in the patient, who went on to enjoy a complete recovery.

Development of the DICOM Viewer continued over time, resulting in the applications we offer today. Our goal is to develop these applications into world-class medical 3D imaging software, all the while making them accessible at an affordable cost, putting this technology in the hands of physicians everywhere.

Ultimately, our mission is to help medical practitioners achieve the best outcomes for their patients.

Our Applications

Our applications help enhance a physician’s view of ailments or injuries, through creation of accurate 3D representations of a patient’s anatomy, derived from CT and MRI Scans, revealing details and structures missed when using only standard 2D Images.
